ARLINGTON, Texas -- Texas Rangers reliever Jeremy Jeffress, twice suspended in the minor leagues for violating drug rules, was away from the team Friday following his overnight arrest in Dallas on a drunken driving charge. The club placed Jeffress on the restricted list before a game against Cleveland, but general manager Jon Daniels said he expected the former Milwaukee closer to be back with the team Saturday.Daniels said the American League West leaders were exploring the matter while Dallas police and Major League Baseball also conducted investigations.Im glad no one was hurt from it, Daniels said. I dont want to minimize the severity of what couldve happened. Beyond that, we need to get our arms around some more of the specifics regarding the due process.A Dallas police spokesman said an officer made a traffic stop at 2:24 a.m. Friday and arrested the 28-year-old Jeffress after detecting a sign of intoxication.Online records for the Dallas County jail show he was booked around 5:15 a.m. on a driving while intoxicated charge and that he was released on $500 bond. No attorney information was available for Jeffress.Daniels said he spoke to Jeffress after the arrest, as did Texas catcher Jonathan Lucroy, the primary player acquired in the trading deadline deal with the Brewers.I know he fights some stuff on the personal level, Lucroy said. Whenever youre dealing with stuff in your personal life like that, that becomes way more important than the game. And we have to help him get through whatever hes trying to get through, to help him be OK in life. The Brewers drafted Jeffress as the 16th selection overall in 2006. The right-hander was suspended for 50 games in 2007 and for 100 games in 2009, both times when he was in the minors.Jeffress made his major league debut with the Brewers in 2010 before getting traded to Kansas City that offseason. He also spent time with Toronto before Milwaukee brought him back as a free agent two years ago.The hard-throwing right-hander became the closer this season, recording 27 of his 28 career saves.?The arrest came after the first game of a 10-game homestand that includes Cleveland, Seattle and Houston. The Rangers have a slight edge on the Indians for the best record in the AL, while the Mariners and Astros are their top pursuers in the AL West.Theres never a good time for something like this, Daniels said. I dont even want to put it into baseball terms. Im more concerned now in trying to get our arms around the situation and look at the real-life element first, baseball second. To fill Jeffress spot, Texas recalled left-hander Dario Alvarez from Triple-A Round Rock.Tae Hayes Jersey . Three came down to the fourth quarter while quarterbacks continued to shine in all four games; so important to the overall quality of the game. Michael Hughes Jersey .Y. - Rob Manfred was promoted Monday to Major League Baseballs chief operating officer, which may make him a candidate to succeed Bud Selig as commissioner. http://www.cheapjaguarsjerseysauthentic.com/?tag=authentic-dredrick-snelson-jersey . Aside from the trilogy main event title fight, there are a number of intriguing matchups in the heavyweight, welterweight and lightweight divisions. Chris Conley Jersey . -- Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson asked his players a simple question during Fridays morning shootaround: How many of them had ever been on a team 14 games over . Terrelle Pryor Sr. Jersey . With the short-handed Warriors needing help from someone -- anyone -- to stop a three-game skid, ONeal returned from right knee and groin injuries that had sidelined him for four games and put up season highs with 18 points and eight rebounds. It was just enough to help lift Golden State to a 102-101 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night. As part of ESPN Fantasys efforts to give daily gamers intel on whom to target in DFS, our fantasy golf experts are here to share which players they view as building blocks for this weeks RBC Canadian Open. The panel for the Canadian Open features ESPN.coms Will Harris, FantasyGolfInsiders Jeff Bergerson, Zach Turcotte, Taras Pitra and Jason Rouslin, and Dailyfantasybootcamps David Jayne.Note: Golfer salaries listed are for DraftKings. Will Harris -- Colt Knost ($7,100) Knost is peaking at age 31 (his 74-75 at Troon was just his second missed cut in 21 starts this year). Knost, this years Tour leader in driving accuracy and putting inside 10 feet, has been threatening to break through with his maiden victory. He followed a third-place showing at The Players with two more top-four finishes in four starts since. Theres no hiding his poor track record at Glen Abbey that consists of two missed cuts and a tie for 48th, but well chance it with a guy whos inside the top 20 in the betting order yet outside DraftKings top 50.David Jayne -- Luke List ($6,600) The par-5s at Glen Abbey have surrendered an astonishing 143 eagles in the last two timesit has hosted the Canadian Open (2013 and 2015). List is one of the best on tour this year at making birdie or better on par-5s, and in his only start here in 2013 he played the par-5s in 11-under par. Although List has made only 10 cuts this season, he has finished inside the top 30 an impressive 80 percent of the time hes made the cut. This upside coupled with the expected high ownership of Matthew Fitzpatrick makes List a great pivot at this price for tournaments.Jeff Bergerson -- David Hearn ($7,900)Last year the Canadian player came really close to winning his home countrys national open, but ended up with a solo third-place finish. After a rough start to 2016, Hearn has bounced back and put up nine top-30 finishes and has made the cut in his last six tournaments. His $7,900 price this week is really good, eespecially considering the lack of depth in this field.dddddddddddd Hearn is a really strong play in both GPPs and cash games this week.Zachary Turcotte -- Daniel Summerhays ($7,000) Why is Summerhays priced at $7,000 this week? Considering there are players making their PGA debut at the Canadian Open who are priced higher than Summerhays, I am totally baffled by this glaring value. Summerhays has missed just three cuts in 21 starts this season and recently finished in the top 10 at Oakmont in the U.S. Open. He has made nine straight cuts overall and finished in 11th place at Glen Abbey a year ago. Summerhays is a solid putter, and although he does not get a lot of distance off the tee, he has knocked in plenty of birdies, particularly on par-5s this season. He is easily my favorite value play of the week.Jason Rouslin -- Chad Campbell ($6,800)In three starts at Glen Abbey, Campbell has finished 11th, 16th and 26th, so it seems that he is familiar and comfortable with the course. Plus, hes coming off a decent performance at the Barbasol (35th) and has made the cut in his last five starts. I like the direction his game is heading as well as his past performances at Glen Abbey. He has great value at just $6,800. Look for him to stick around for the weekend for his sixth-straight cut and be in position to finish in the top 20.Taras Pitra -- William McGirt ($7,700) McGirts missed cut at The Open should be thrown out the window, as it was his first time playing in the event and the course didnt play to his strengths. Instead of fading him based on an outlier missed cut, Im strongly suggesting him for GPPs this week. His course history (34th, 2nd) and current form (aside from the Open, he recently finished 7th, MC, WIN, 47th, 43rd, 17th) indicates a consistent player with good upside to build around for your cash teams.Cheap Jerseys s
