The final Thursday night game of the season couldn’t be much more forgettable. Denver and Indianapolis are hard enough to watch with a full week to prepare. On short notice: UGH! The Broncos (4-9) have been one of the league’s major disappointments Bradley Chubb Jersey White , and they broke an eight-game skid last Sunday by manhandling the undermanned Jets. Indianapolis (3-10) has dropped four straight and seven of eight. Enough said. Denver, ranked 25th in the AP Pro32, is a 1-point favorite at Lucas Oil Stadium. At least the Colts (No. 30 in AP Pro32) won’t have to freeze in a blizzard as they lose this one. BRONCOS, 13-10 KNOCKOUT LEAGUE TIP Of all the choices Pro Picks has ever made for this category, none has been worse than taking Cincinnati over Chicago last Sunday. Thanks for not showing up, Bengals. Regardless, we march on with NEW ORLEANS. No. 15 Green Bay (plus 2) at No. 7 Carolina After barely escaping Cleveland, not buying Packers, not even with A-Rod. RAIDERS, 24-21 No. 2 Philadelphia (minus 7 1-2) at No. 31 New York Giants Foles won’t fail the Eagles, at least not this week. EAGLES, 20-10 No. 23 (tie) Cincinnati (plus 10) at No. 4 Minnesota Will Bungles, uh, Bengals show up this time? Have our doubts. VIKINGS, 27-16 No. 9 Atlanta (minus 3 1-2) at No. 29 Tampa Bay This is simple: Falcons are better team by more than this spread. FALCONS, 27-17 No. 26 (tie) Houston (plus 9 1-2) at No. 8 Jacksonville A win and Jaguars are in playoffs. Say what? JAGUARS, 26-10 No. 23 (tie) New York Jets (plus 16) at No. 6 New Orleans How, exactly, are the Jets going to score? Maybe on defense, but … SAINTS 30-6 No. 21 Arizona (plus 6) at No. 22 Washington Two teams destroyed by injuries this season. CARDINALS, 22-17 No. 12 Baltimore (minus 7) at No. 32 Cleveland Seems a matter of time before Browns win one. Actually, no. RAVENS, 17-13 No. 13 Tennessee (plus 2 1-2) at No. 26 (tie) San Francisco Titans could short-circuit playoff chances by flopping here. You’ll see all sorts of top ten lists, Mount Rushmores, and all-time rosters, but I don’t know if I’ve seen anyone take this straight-forward of an approach to determining the greatest Broncos of all time. There is nothing wrong with the “big-time players make big-time plays in big-time games” criteria to determine greatness. After all, it’s those moments that make being a Broncos fan so much fun. Where would we be without The Drive, The Fumble, The Helicopter, and all those moments that make up that feeling in your gut when you put on your Broncos gear on gameday morning?Lost, though, in those great moments are the grinders, the dudes that showed up to work every day and did their job well enough to string enough of those days together into an all-time streak. As football fans, we often talk about how many seasons a player played, but rarely do we examine the number of games a player clocked into. So let’s take an all-time great look at the Denver Broncos using games played as the only guideline to determine that greatness. Top 10 Broncos by Games Played#NAMEGAMESBIO LINK#NAMEGAMESBIO LINKIf you click on the bio for each of the names above, you’ll notice each of these guys were selected by Mile High Report as the “Greatest to Wear” their number for the Denver Broncos. Rarely, though, do you see names like Paul Howard or Barney Chavous mentioned in the same breath as John Elway. Never do you see a list where Jason Elam, who played in 236 games as a Denver Bronco and “started” 0 of them, come in ahead of John Elway. Does this list change perceptions of the greatest Broncos in your eyes? I still have Terrell Davis, Shannon Sharpe, Von Miller, and others on my personal list and I’m sure most everyone does as well. Sometimes it’s fun to play with the rules of perception and see the Broncos through a different lens. If for nothing else, the men on this list deserve a little more recognition for their time with the Broncos. With all due respect to Jerry Glanville, if “NFL” stands for “Not For Long”, these guys surely didn’t get the memo.Broncos NewsMason's Mailbag: A look at the Broncos' special teamsSpecial Teams Coordinator Tom McMahon had punter Colby Wadman working on a specific aspect of punting during offseason work ... and some thoughts on a wide-open return competition.Texans' DeAndre Hopkins was 'most banged up' in 2018 - NFL.comThere are few passes that DeAndre Hopkins can't catch.
