LOUIS - St. Louis Rams guard Rodger Saffold will undergo left shoulder surgery next month for an injury thats bothered him throughout the year.Before the season finale at Seattle, Saffold said he wanted to have the procedure done as soon as possible. Hes worn a brace much of the year but started every game for the first time since his rookie season in 2010.The operation will take place Jan. 7 in New York and will not be done by Rams physicians.Saffold has proven versatile with St. Louis, starting at three offensive line spots.
