Organic strength training is using the body as it was intended to be used, in motions that are strong, efficient and above all insanely beneficial.
First off let's tackle weight machines.
No mystery there, using a weight machine is about as natural as a diet Pepsi and Twinkies lunch.
After spending most of my career researching fitness equipment, I have noticed a trend in weight machine design. It seems each year manufacturers make changes in an effort for their machines to "move you in as natural a path of motion as possible." In other words Gaston Ramirez Uruguay Jersey , they admit that machines are artificial and they are in a race to be as natural in feel and motion as they can be. It's kind of like trying to see who can make orange soda taste more like real oranges.
I just say why try to make the fake stuff feel real? Just stick to the real deal from the get-go.
So that's free weights right? Ummm, well not always. Even the world of free weights is saturated with artificial flavors and preservatives.
In organic weight lifting, there are no dumbbell racks, no squat racks, no bench press Fernando Muslera Uruguay Jersey , no seated stations and no preacher curl. Hell, there aren't even any weight benches! It's just the "raw weight", the floor and gravity.
The reason for this is simple, in real life heavy objects usually don't sit in a rack at the perfect height so you can get it on your back or over your chest. Plus have you ever taken a heavy weight from the floor and attempted a back squat or bench press? It's darn near impossible! So we had to invent an artificial setup to help us get the weight into these positions, thus making the exercises and the weights we use for them slightly more left of center than what we were meant to handle.
Rack-free lifting conditions the body to do three things very well. These include picking up a weight from the floor Egidio Arevalo Rios Uruguay Jersey , holding or carrying a weight while standing and pressing the weight over head (again while standing). Ironically with all of our racks, benches and supports, these movements are almost extinct in every day gym-style workouts. Once the dumbbell rack and squat rack go bye-bye, these actions are done with every exercise rather than just once in a blue moon. I've heard many stories where this sort of lifting has taken even the most seasoned gym rat to a whole new level of strength and muscle tone.
Finally we have quite possibly the most natural form of exercise known to man: body weight training.
