More than eight years after his previous Test match, and four years after his last international, wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel has earned a recall to Indias Test team. At 17 years and 153 days, he became Test crickets youngest wicketkeeper in 2002; now he will be the second-oldest member in the XI if no other change is made to the side that took field in Visakhapatnam.Parthiv came in because of an injury to first-choice keeper Wriddhiman Saha, who strained his left thigh during the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam. He will not play the third Test to avoid aggravating the injury. The announcement came about 15 hours after the India squad had been announced with only one change. Gautam Gambhir had been dropped with Bhuvneshwar Kumars return bolstering the pace department. In a release, the BCCI said: As a precautionary measure, Saha has been advised rest and will not play in the next Test match of the series. Parthiv Patel will replace Saha in the Indian team for the third Test. The match is set to be played from November 26 in Mohali.ESPNcricinfo understands that Parthiv, 31, was ahead of other candidates to fill Sahas role because he offers the option of a left-hand batsman. Also, it is understood that the selectors felt it was too early to hand a debut to the 19-year-old Rishabh Pant, who has hit a triple-hundred for Delhi this Ranji Trophy season and smashed a 48-ball ton in a game in which he scored twin centuries. The other big contender was Madhya Pradeshs Naman Ojha, who played the last Test that Saha missed. Ojha missed the start of the Ranji Trophy with injury. However, he did play MPs last match.Tamil Nadus Dinesh Karthik, who has also had a good recent run with the bat, is believed to have lost to Parthiv because of the latters better glove work and the left-hand batting variation.Parthiv, who last played Test cricket in August 2008, also had a fine start to the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy with the bat for Gujarat. He scored 415 runs in his first eight innings at 59.28, with three fifties and a hundred. The century came in the previous round of games, in Gujarats second innings against MP. It was a brisk, unbeaten knock: 139 not out off 170 balls.Parthiv was considered going by form and also the wicketkeeping aspect. More importantly, being a left-hand bat - England have a legspinner and a left-arm spinner in Adil Rashid and Zafar Ansari. So, a left-hander will add more to the team, a BCCI official told ESPNcricinfo.Naman had some injuries; he didnt play in the first three-four matches of the Ranji Trophy this year. As far as keeping is concerned as well, Parthiv stands ahead of Dinesh Karthik. Overall, as a package, he fits the teams requirements. There is no doubt that Parthivs glove work has improved considerably in the last few years. Not sure which position he will bat in; it is up to the team now.Parthiv debuted in England in 2002, and has played 20 Tests till date for 41 catches, eight stumpings and 683 runs at 29.69 with a best of 69.Nike Air Force 1 Günstig . -- James Young couldnt wait to apply those tweaks to his jump shot, and the first one he made against UT Arlington told him it could be a good night. Neither club has had much to celebrate this season as they occupy spots in the bottom-three of the overall MLS table. Chivas sits at the bottom of the Western Conference on 14 points while Toronto, on 13 points, is second from bottom in the East. You can see all the action on TSN2 and TSN Mobile TV beginning at 10:30pm et/7:30pm pt. Even while Chivas has managed one more point than Toronto this season, things appear to more dire for the Goats ahead of Wednesdays clash. The clubs winless streak was extended to 14 games after Chivas surrendered a 3-1 loss to the Philadelphia Union at PPL Park on Friday, the first time since June 19 that the Goats have conceded more than one goal in a league game. The final result was made even more disappointing by the fact that Chivas held a one-goal lead on the road and was level with Philadelphia heading into the 82nd minute. "For me, its not easy to talk about the final result because Chivas USA, for 70 minutes, was very good," said Chivas head coach Jose Luis Real. "For the last 20 minutes, Philadelphia did very well. We had a little bit of problems at the end of the game." Chivas horrid run without a win is one game shy of the club record and tied for the third-longest winless run in MLS history. It also matches the longest ever such streak contained within a single season. Torontoo, meanwhile, is four games without a win after it was upended by Sporting Kansas City in a 3-0 loss at Sporting Park on Saturday.dddddddddddd Ryan Nelsen, head coach of the Canadian club, stated prior to the match that he was happy with the progress his side had made, saying that despite Torontos numerous losses that they were never really out of a game. The same could not be said after the resounding defeat at the weekend. "We had a bad day at the office and that is the first time that I have had to say that," Nelsen said. "Its the first time I have had to say that we got turned over. But some very good teams have come into this stadium and been turned over even worse than what we have." But for all of Nelsens optimism, Toronto certainly appears to be in the midst of a downslide. The Reds have conceded a season-high three goals in consecutive games and have been blanked on the attacking end in three of the last four games. "It was a disappointing night for everybody and the players know it," Nelsen said after the defeat at Sporting. "We have the standards that I have set and that they try to adhere to and we didnt get there tonight. "I think this is the first time we can all hold our hands up. This is when you really measure the true character of guys. It is very easy when things are going well. It is when your backs are against the wall that you have to find out the steel of a player and a person. These are all tests." ' ' '
