In the course of an inning, the fortune of the Winnipeg Goldeyes changed dramatically and set the table for a series win. The Goldeyes used a big third inning to beat the Trois-Rivieres Aigles 7-5 Wednesday night. The win gives Winnipeg the series victory and marks the first time since July 5 that the Goldeyes have won back-to-back games. Winnipeg remains seven games back of the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks for first place in the American Associations North Division. With the game tied at one in the bottom of the second inning, Trois-Rivieres loaded the bases with two out. Aigles centre fielder Steve Brown hit a comebacker to Goldeyes pitcher Pete Gehle, who immediately tossed it back to Winnipeg catcher Jordan Guida for the force out at home.
